On this edition we discuss:

  • Online Calibration Courses
  • Plasma Burn-in and best practices
  • We touch on audio and decided that we need to do an episode dedicated to it
  • Does HDMI passed through a receiver impact picture quality
  • Is there a benefit to using THX mode on your TV when you have ISF Expert Modes

Just a comment…unfortunately I have burn in on my Pioneer 50” Plasma (PDP5050HD). My wife loves to watch all of the crime shows such as CSI, Criminal Minds, etc on USA. She records them on our DVR and then sits down and watches multiple episodes in a row. Bad thing is, when you skip all of the commercials that means USA logo is on the screen constantly. And of course it has to be solid WHITE! Why do channels insist on always displaying their logo?? You obviously know what channel you are on…..no need to be constantly reminded!

Thank god I wont get burn in on my projector!
