Amazon Introduces Prime Radio Stations

Amazon jumped into music streaming today with Prime Stations. A free service for Amazon Prime subscribers, its very similar to Pandora and iTunes Radio. One big difference is that you are allowed unlimited skips! Pandora and itunes radio limit you to six skips per hour. As I write this I have skipped 12 songs in 10 minutes.

I was not able to create a station based on an artist and in fact when I searched on some artists they were not available for the Prime service. Who wants to listen to country music without Luke Bryan?? So as all things Prime, its a great addition to the free two day shipping and will likely get better in time.

Introducing Prime Stations

Dear Ara Derderian,
As a Prime Member, you now get unlimited access to Prime Stations -- an ad-free, internet radio service you can enjoy at no additional cost to your Prime membership.

With Prime Stations, you can find a genre or artist you like and hit play to hear a continuous stream of music that you can pause, replay, or skip as many times as you'd like. As you listen and give songs a thumbs-up or thumbs-down, each station will adapt to your music tastes.

Prime Members can stream Prime Stations and over a million songs for free with the Amazon Music App on iOS, Android, Kindle Fire HD/HDX, Mac, PC, and the web.
