Whole House Audio with Airport Express
This is the video I promised of my audio zone in my garage using AudioEngine A2s and and Airport Express. I ended up showing a few more zones and a brief description of how it all works together. Enjoy!

I use this setup for itunes material but also use Airfoil on the mac when playing music from browser based content - sirius, songza, pandora, etc. to multiple airplay zones - works great as well!
Do you use an Airport Extreme as your main router? You got me hooked on using Airport Express units for whole house audio. I have purchased several older models on eBay for less than $20 each. I have 6 zones now including outside speakers.
Hi Jerry,
I do use the Airport Extreme. Ebay is a great idea for buying these. You can save a clot of money!

This video is not shot in 4K so it's a total DISASTER! I couldn't see a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g ...... oh wait a second, I totally forgot that 4K is just another technology that is pushed on us solely to upsell more expensive TVs and you have to have a 120" screen to notice the difference between 1080p and 4K, so I guess the video is good;)
Even though I also have Apple fever if I lived in a house like this with a good budget for audio (those A5 ain't cheap) I'd go with Sonos as it seems to be much more flexible with music choices than speakers + Airplay combo.
I also use Airfoil so I can play any music application through any of the speakers. I have 6 zones currently and my total cost is less than $160 including the Airport Extreme main router. I already had sound systems or speakers so this was just for the ability to connect everything through a whole house audio system.
Since my post is a few months later of your video, you may have covered this already. But, do you know that with Apple's Remote app in the iOS App Store, you can play your iTunes library to multiple locations exactly as you demonstrated doing it from a Mac? It works flawlessly too. The app is universal, iPhone or iPad and is free.
Bob,
I use the IOS remote app in the way you describe. I have also found that streaming from the main computer is more reliable with fewer drop outs than streaming from an iPhone.
