I Am Number Four has an impressive audio mix that helps bring the action into the home. Subtle ambiance like birds chirping and leaves rustling are handled delicately. While heavier accents like thunder claps and a chainsaw in a haunted house are delivered powerfully. Even though dialog can sometimes be difficult to hear during the action scenes, the rest of the DTS Master Audio mix is near perfect. It shows off surround capability by filling the room with rainfall, or even lasers shooting from either side of the room. I would have to say the funniest audio moment of the movie is watching the final action sequence. The subwoofer gets much action and vibrates the couch to make the explosions and super powers even more super.

The video persentaiton of this film is like eating fresh baked velvet cupcakes. It's warm, welcoming, and colorfull. What stands out the most is the detail of the picture. Each grain of sand sticking to the actors can be seen on their young freckled faces. Fine details like blades of grass and delicate textured clothing also display great clarity. However, there are a few dark scenes where some of the clarity is lost in the shadows, but all and all it's a good video transfer to Blu-ray.

Review
I Am Number Four is a scifi action film meant for teens based on a series of popular books. However, because of its lack of charisma I drought this will become successful franchise. When I say that this film lacks charisma, it is mainly because of it's lead actor Alex Pettyfer. His performance is very monotone and emotionless. This made if very difficult to make is character likeable and made it nearly impossible to believe he had any type of love interest. However, the rest of the cast does a great job trying to take up the slack.
The plot and the original "super powers" the characters possessed kept my interest throughout the movie. However, a lot of time was spent setting up a possible next film and never plays a part in this film's storyline. This is a decent movie to watch with "tweens" in the family, it has good
action sequences, flashy special effects, and has enough going for it to keep your interest.
