Press Release: Yamaha Launches Line of 3D Ready Receivers
Powerful 7-Channel RX-V567 Offers HD Audio, Audio Return Channel via HDMI, Analog Video Upscaling to 1080p, On-Screen Display and YPAO
BUENA PARK, Calif.––Yamaha Electronics Corporation, the innovator in home theater and digital audio and video reproduction, today introduced a new line of three versatile, high-performance 3D-ready AV receivers, the RX-V567 (90W x 7; MSRP: $479.95), RX-V467 (105W x 5; MSRP: $379.95) and RX-V367 (100W x 5; MSRP $249.95). These models deliver wide-ranging source connectivity and convenience features for superior HD video and audio performance, 3D support for the Side-by-Side (Half) and Top-and-Bottom formats that broadcasters are adopting, as well as for current 3D Blu-ray content (via upcoming firmware update).
Yamaha’s new receivers enable music and movie enthusiasts to fully enjoy their Blu-ray players, broadcast HD services and gaming consoles, as well as the recently-introduced 3D televisions, with comprehensive feature sets throughout the line. Yamaha’s proprietary Cinema DSP audio processing, which is offered in each of the line’s models, complements the new 3D television technology and provides extra sonic dimension and standout presence to match the engaging 3D video.
The RX-V567 and RX-V467 provide the perfect combination of performance and versatility with HD Audio decoding, sufficient HDMI inputs, Audio Return Channel support via HDMI and YPAO automatic system calibration. The RX-V567 also adds analog-to-HDMI 1080p video upscaling for stunning, lifelike picture quality, even from non-HD sources, and an intuitive on-screen display for navigating entertainment options.
Each of the models in the line feature four 1080p compatible HDMI inputs, and the RX-V567 and RX-V467 also add a full complement of surround sound audio decoders (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio; Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio). All models also offer Deep Color (30/36 bit) technology, x.v.Color, 24Hz Refresh Rates, audio input assign capability for HDMI and component video inputs and Auto Lip-Sync compensation, which automatically eliminates audio/video sync issues.
All three models offer Yamaha’s four pre-set SCENE buttons (―BD/DVD,‖ ―TV,‖ ―CD‖ and ―Radio‖) that instantly ready the entire system to deliver the desired entertainment experience by turning on the correct components and activating the proper inputs, audio and video features and surround mode combinations.
All models also give users access to the broadest range of today’s popular content sources, including iPod/iPhone compatibility through Yamaha’s optional dock accessories (YDS-12 for iPod and iPhone; YDS-11 for iPod), and Bluetooth (A2DP) compatibility with an optional Yamaha Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver (YBA-10). iPod/iPhone song title information is displayed on the front panel of each model, and also via the on-screen display of the RX-V567.
Other features found throughout line include Compressed Music Enhancer that restores dynamics to music files ripped from CDs or downloaded from the Internet (all units), Adaptive Dynamic Range Control that automatically increases the volume of softer dialog passages when overall system volume is turned down, and Adaptive DSP level. The Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer (YPAO) simplifies home theater setup (RX-V567 and RX-V467 models) by automatically analyzing room acoustics and setting parameters for optimum sound quality at the touch of a button.
Silent Cinema technology makes it possible to hear large-scale surround sound through standard headphones—ideal for late-night home theater listening when the rest of the family is asleep.
