Canon and Toshiba were showing a working demo of their new
SED TV technology. We ran into Kevin Tofel of
HDBeat.com while at the show and he told us his reaction to the demo as well.
We checked out the VP30 from
DVDO and can't wait to get a review unit to play with.
SageTV
showed software for turning an ordinary Windows XP PC into a fully
functional media center. The software and a capture card together
only cost $150.
Universal Electronics had a demo of
SimpleWare Auto (pdf), a very promising in-car entertainment platform.
