Listener John sent us an email after hearing our HDTV quiz where he asked the following question:

"For 16X9 aspect ratio screens, how much larger is a 110" diagonal screen than a 55" diagonal screen?"
  1. Twice as Large
  2. 1.5 times as large
  3. Three times as large
  4. Four times as large
The answer is at the bottom of this page. John was kind enough to send us a spreadsheet with size comparisons. We added a metric column for our friends outside the US.

The i-deck from Monitor Audio

We have talked about integrating an iPod into a home theater on previous podcasts. Today we talk about a solution from Monitor Audio that turns you iPod into high quality transportable sound system. The i-deck is a three piece (main unit and two detachable speakers) system designed to fill a room with your tunes.  If you already have a home theater system you may wonder why you would need such a device.  The i-deck is ideal for use in an office or a bedroom. It can easily be transported so it can be taken on vacation or to a friend's house so you can be the life of the party with all your music. more
