Some follow up to our HTPC Show:
Listener Carl from Amherst Ohio told us about an open source product called Media Portal. It turns your standard XP PC into a HTPC and its free.
Listener Chris from Arlington Virgina pointed us to a product called Dragon. Dragon is high-end HDTV PVR hardware optimized for MythTV.
Finally, Listener John from Union City NJ emailed us about an Open Source project known as KnoppMyth (which is what Dragon is based on) that places MythTV into a bootable CD with an installer. The installation is simple. Answer 8 to 10 questions and sit back while your system is configured.
